Determination of Economic Development Strategies Through Strategic Analysis: The Case of the Azabí del Mortiñal Community

This work provides relevant information on the socioeconomic conditions and potential of the Azabí of Mortiñal community, which will be the transcendental point of departure to reach the objective of proposing strategies for economic development. The research used is of a mixed type, since it was necessary to work in the quantitative and qualitative part, the applied method was the deductive, inductive and analytical method, the technique used in the survey was the face-to-face type of survey, and the instrument that facilitated the obtaining of the data was the questionnaire. Interesting results are that a large part of the population is within the limits of poverty and extreme poverty, and its potential lies in natural resources, which is why it is necessary to seek strategies for development. Thanks to the work with the focal group formed by the relevant social actors in the area, it was possible to determine, through the application of strategic analysis (strategic matrices), proposals based mainly on agriculture, tourism and its people.
