Abstract

Introduction: On December 31, 2019, in China, it was officially reported on the virus called SARS-CoV-2, which can cause from a common cold to more severe clinical manifestations, for which a series of cases that varies in their symptoms, from mild to severe cases due to Covid-19 infection. Objective: To analyze the symptoms of patients with Covid-19, relating risk factors and comorbidities according to severity. Method: follow-up of three cases and analysis of comorbidities, laboratory results, days of hospitalization. Results: different alterations were found in laboratory tests such as liver tests, altered coagulation, increased lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), D-dimer and platelet alterations, and chest computed tomography (CT). Discussion: there are laboratory data related to the symptoms and their comorbidities that would increase the severity of the Covid-19 infection and that are considered as serious risk factors. Conclusions: it is necessary to maintain control of the contagion of Covid-19 in patients who have high risk factors, their psychosocial support in relation to the environment that surrounds them and prevention with hand washing, social distancing and use of protective equipment, like the mask.
