To describe the experiences of eight founders of Preschool Education in Jesús Menéndez municipality, Las Tunas province, Cuba, a qualitative study of life histories was carried out, based on the interpetative paradigm, with a narrative design of a self- reflexive biographical perspective, in the period between July 2017 and July 2018. The founders were chosen as type cases within the mass of female workers of this level of education. For the triangulation of the results, a documentary study of the work files of the type cases was carried out in search of the information that would guarantee the exemplarity of each subject in the study; open interviews were held with former students, and a structured interview was applied to the eight founders. Their self-reflective responses to the five questions of the interview were taken as units of analysis. The results show the difficulties, problems and successes of these women, initiators of Preschool Education in the municipality. It is concluded that the example of these women illustrates the dedication, infinite love and consecration of the Cuban educators of Preschool Education.
